Throughout this campaign, I have been thinking of my late sister Sara, a special superhuman born in 1986 with severe spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

Throughout this campaign, I have been thinking of parents who may not be in as fortunate a position as mine were, able to offer her care and comfort while coping themselves.

Personal, nuanced and real lived experience counts for everything in this world.

On May 25, with Sara in my heart and other families in my head, I feel proud and powerful to stand with my family and vote Yes, to vote with compassion.
